Our international partner, based in Budapest, in the 1st district is looking for an Application Operator.
The candidate works closely with their customer, functional business units and software developers to operate the customers systems to accomplish operation 24/7.
Tasks
- Keep running applications for lottery companies
- Monitoring lottery system components and events
- Fullfil service requests for the customers
- Execute recurring daily operational tasks
- Troubleshooting application problems and outages according to documentation
- Handle, register and follow up incoming request/incidents
- Constant communication and support to involved resolver units and partners
- Reporting
- Participate in calls in case of outage
Requirements
- Able to provide professional high quality support to customers in 24/7 shifts (3×8 hours)
- Excellent English (verbal & written) is mandatory
- Previous experience in working with ITSM ticketing systems is desirable
- Familiarity with ITIL processes
- Working experience in IT operations
- Have knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
- Basic networking backgrounds (TCP/IP)
- Basic database (SQL) knowledge
- Scripting skills (Perl, PHP, Bash, Python or anything similar)
- Several years relevant experience in IT application operation
- IT attitude, willingness to learn new systems
- Have adequate communication skills, solution focused mind and strong team spirit
- Stress resistant, team player
