Our client opened its doors to customers in Hungary in 2002 as a leading pet food and equipment store chain. The first store of the international group opened in 1990 in Germany, and today more than 1,800 stores await pet owners in 11 countries.
In order to build their Hungarian IT Team they are now hiring a HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT, who would build up their own team of 10-12 members.
Tasks
- Provide disciplinary and functional leadership to developers, DevOps and QA resources
- Helping to shape a forward-looking IT strategy in relation to the development platform
- Managing the developers, DevOps and QA resources for use in the projects/products
- Advising and supporting departments, projects and products on planning and implementation for the development platforms of applications for the company infrastructure
- Establishing and expanding a DevOps approach and taking operational responsibility for the chosen DevOps approach in collaboration with our infrastructure platform
- Planning and budget responsibility, preparation of the respective annual plan and associated intra-year control of the finances for the development platforms area in cooperation with the responsible persons (PL, PO, etc.)
Requirements
- Completed studies in (business) information technology or comparable education
- At least 5 years of professional experience with minimum 1-2 years of experience in a leadership position
- Experience in DevOps and QA environment as well as software development in common programming languages (e.g. nodeJS, Java, JavaScript, Angular…)
- Experience in the application of agile methods in an agile team
- English knowledge (written and spoken)
