Our client is the global IT service provider for a global insurance company and delivers IT solutions that drive the digitalization of the Company Group. With more than 10,000 employees located in 36 countries around the globe, they work together with other insurance entities in leading IT for the worldwide digitalization of the Company. They are now hiring a German speaking IT Business Analyst.

Tasks

  • Analysis of functions, errors and processes in life insurance
  • Portfolio management / insurance-related changes taking into account the interface to mathematics
  • Benefit cases of a life insurance policy
  • Manual inventory changes and corrections
  • Customer information processes (GUI/ online services/letter)
  • Fund management
  • Creation of business analyses and user stories/bugs as a basis for IT programming and troubleshooting
  • Organizational and process-related consideration of the requirements to be implemented or problem area analysis (impact analysis)
  • Evaluation of feasibility and estimation of expenditure including economic efficiency analysis
  • Coordination, planning and agreement of implementation solutions / alternatives with clients, users, IT and architecture
  • Analysis and execution of errors on production, including coordination and agreement with other units and groups to eliminate them
  • Acceptance test of the implemented requirements or error correction as well as extension of the regression test

Requirements

  • Completed studies in mathematics, (business) informatics, business administration or insurance economics
  • Several years of project work (preparation of requirements analyses, implementation specifications, testing and acceptance of IT functions)
  • Very good analytical and conceptual skills
  • High level of technical understanding and experienced handling of tools such as MS Office, data models, UML and SQL
  • Confident appearance, strong coordination and communication skills
  • Flexibility, the ability and willingness to quickly familiarise with new topics
  • Ability to work in a team across departments
  • Knowledge of life insurance business processes and their technical mapping in the portfolio systems
  • Knowledge and experience in agile project work (Scrum)
