As a Quality Automation Engineer, you will be part of an agile, cross-functional team within our Travel & Assistance practice. Your work will contribute to our client, a global organization supporting people and businesses in times of trouble, for simple advice, at home or on the move. Together with your international team, you will take over end-to-end ownership for various business applications, contribute to world-wide rollouts and guarantee stable solutions.
You will be allocated to development or production activities, responsible for automated testing of high-reliable and real-time business applications. In this role, you will take the end-to-end responsibility of testing our products. Primarily, you will drive test automation (implementation, execution, analysis, maintenance) of our applications on system-, integration- and acceptance- test levels. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to contribute to and improve our software delivery & maintenance processes.

Main Responsibilities:
- Align with respective product owner and team members to understand the business requirements of our customers
- Design and automate test case scenarios based on an internal automated test framework
- Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases for automated tests
- Enhance and maintain automated smoke & acceptance tests
- Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Monitor and analyze results of automated test runs
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities – (For Senior-Level Positions)
Requirements
- Broad Understanding of the tasks and processes in software delivery
- Comprehensive Knowledge of software Quality Automation methodologies, tools and processes
- Practical Experience working in an Agile/Scrum setting
- Practical Experience with developing automated tests and using a mocking framework (e.g. Junit, Selenium, TestNG, )
- Practical Experience with automated testing tools
- Practical Experience with both white box and black box testing
- Practical Experience with designing system-, integration- and acceptance- tests
- Practical Experience with writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases
- Practical Experience with regression testing
- Practical Experience implementing business-focused automated tests
- Practical Experience performing risk analyses (in risk-based testing context)
- Practical Experience working with tools to manage and execute test cases (e.g. Quality Center, Test Rail, Test Link, Selenium, Polarion, Zephyr, QMetry, Xray, )
- Practical Experience with Confluence and Jira
- Practical Experience working with API tools (e.g. Postman, Selenium, REST-Assured, TestNG, Swagger, )
- Comprehensive Knowledge of SQL and scripting within relational databases
- Basic Understanding of OOP Concepts in Java (e.g. classes and methods, inheritance, annotations, )
- Practical Experience with version management systems (e.g. GIT, )
- Sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on success

- Team-minded attitude with great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Flexibility to travel (depending on restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, preferably once a month to delivery centers or clients)
