We are looking for a Rollout team member for our client in the insurance sector (Business Intelligence & Big Data team)!
Key Responsibilities
- Actively drive standardization and optimization of operation activities
- Provide production support for data pipelines, working with the platform team, the data suppliers and customers
- Verification of deployment packages and performance of deployment in integration and production environments
- Monitor, analyze, and report on infrastructure resource requirements and performance issues
- Keep documentation up-to-date
- Enhance program codes and test them using SQL, PL/SQL for DW/BI applications
- Work with the business analysts to fully understand the business requirements for change requests and assure that the deliverables are fulfilling these
- Customers specifications setup (individual configuration, parameters)
- Deployment of various application segments (Oracle, R, JBoss, MicroStrategy)
- OE Specific Coding, Potential Function enhancement coding, Infrastructure setup.
Key requirements /skills /experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field
- Demonstrated experience with software development life cycle methodologies, including agile
- Worked in environments that demand fast paced effective delivery under tight timelines
- Strong PL/SQL knowledge
- Strong understanding of UNIX permission concept
- Experienced in analysing script log files
- Understanding of scheduling mechanisms
- Experience in shell scripting languages (bash, python, etc..)
- Understanding of CICD build tools/pipelines (Jenkins, Nexus, GitHub, GitLab, OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- Advanced English is a must, both written and oral
- Excellent communication skills with high customer focus
- Strong conflict resolution skills, resilience
Desired requirements /skills /experience
- Basic Oracle DBA knowledge
- Knowledge of SQL queries, experienced in analysing SQL query issues
- Experience with Spark clusters managing spark nodes, resource allocation, performance analysis, health analysis of cluster
- Understanding of the concept of container orchestration and platforms, e.g. Nomad, Kubernetes
- Understanding REST/API mechanisms (here Calling jobs on Apache Livy via REST/API calls)
- Knowledge of key management (e.g. Hashicorp Vault), analysing issues related to certificates, secrets, key
