Our partner is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes to join their team in Vienna. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and improving the company´s Kubernetes platform, implementing DevOps methodologies and processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize system performance.
Duration 9 Month (extension possible)
1-2 days on site in Vienna
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters and infrastructure using best practices for high availability, scalability, and security.
- Develop and implement automation solutions to optimize software delivery and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the platform, ensuring the system meets performance and uptime targets.
- Implement and manage monitoring and logging tools for Kubernetes infrastructure and applications.
- Implement security measures and best practices for Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring adherence to DevOps methodologies and best practices.
- Participate in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans and backup processes.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in DevOps engineering with a focus on Kubernetes.
- Extensive experience in designing, implementing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters and infrastructure using best practices.
- Strong expertise in automation and scripting tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Shell scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and networking concepts.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
