Our partner has grown from a small company with 20 years of experience in one of the most exciting IT challenges, simulation technology, to a large corporate site in the US/Canada. Their agile development team provides efficient solutions. Challenging tasks, opportunities to implement ideas, long-term development and remote working await the new colleague. You will work closely with another software architect and an infrastructure engineer and you will be the technical support for the technical leads. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance and advice, helping to incorporate product and business perspectives.
Tasks
- Closely interact with the technical leadership and corporate technical groups and at our partner organisations into clearly defined product and business objectives
- Support management in their responsibility to define and drive strategic plans to evaluate pathfinding and novel features and architectures to advance the state of art of our products
- Engage and partner with Product management, and Engineering teams to prototype, explore, architect, creating differentiated value for our products
- Work closely with product and engineering leads on team to realize new operational plans to ensure smooth execution.
- Overseeing the development team, manage the full life cycle of the process, monitor research, review codes and supervise any testing
- Ensure product quality requirements are met by enforcing implementation of proof-of-concepts according to specifications
- Ensure that the architecture is not only the right one for operations, but also for deployment and sustainment
- Manage risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture
Requirements
- 8 or more, combined years of industry experience, 3+ years as an architect, familiarity with product engineering
- Experience defining and executing cloud strategies and solutions using IaaS, PaaS and SaaS capabilities on Azure, AWS or GCP
- Demonstrated thought leadership in defining architectures and executing technology roadmaps
- Demonstrate an extensive and in-depth ability to design, influence and support successful cloud-based transformation strategies, roadmaps and programmes
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly understand legacy technologies and the rapid integration of modern technologies and innovations.
- Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change
- Proven track record in driving growth and efficiency from technical architecture
- Business outcomes focus, leveraging advanced technology solutions to the achievement of business goals underpinned with sound financial business cases
- A wider range of software development experience, with programming languages including at least C#.Net, Angular, Node.JS, Perl and Python
- Experience with Microservices architecture
