Our Client is a growing, technology based, telecommunication provider to the UK business market. We are looking for a Software Test Engineer in our international partners team to Budapest with high salary and Home-Office oppurtunity (maximum 1 day/month of office work) .
Your task would be 70% manual and 30% automated testing. Our partner is looking for the candidate to help drive forward on the automation path. Aiming for 70% automated in the endend. You must have strong English language skills, Manual and Automated testing experience to fill the position. The selection process is 2 rounds, online.
Requirements
- Manual testing, including exploratory and regression testing
- Identifying and writing test cases
- Using Jira (or similar) and an understanding of the defect lifecycle
- Automation testing, including knowledge of testing types and strategies
- Java and SQL knowledge
- Working within an agile methodology
Nice to have
- Automated UI test tooling (such as Selenium)
- API testing, and associated tools (such as Postman, REST Assured)
- Working within an agile methodology
- Source code version control (ideally Git)
- BDD testing languages (such as Cucumber)
- CI/CD and related tooling
- Performance testing (such as JMeter)
- Application performance tooling (such as Dynatrace, New Relic)
- Familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices
- Containerisation (ideally Docker, Kubernetes)
What You´ll Do
- As a software test engineer, you will improve and expand our existing automated test suites, work closely with developers to understand requirements, and formulate and enact test plans to ensure that we deliver change without compromising quality. You will be part of a cross functional team, comprising of developers, testers, business analysts and product owners. As such you must be a strong team player who values a collaborative approach.
